As a team leader, you may encounter disruptions that adversely impact the team’s atmosphere, effectiveness, mutual cooperation, and performance. Gossip, for instance, is a common issue where like-minded individuals reinforce opinions, creating a sense of safety and recognition but hindering the achievement of team goals.

There are 5 frustrations of teamwork that significantly impede team functioning:

When conflicts threaten team effectiveness or the well-being of team members, engaging an independent team coach is advisable. Our team coach enhances the effectiveness and success of both troubled and ‘healthy’ teams. The coach assesses the team’s effectiveness, developmental phase, and intervenes as needed to propel the team forward, fostering positive outcomes.

Team Coaching: Plan of Action

In a non-binding, complimentary 30-minute introductory session, we embark on a journey to understand your needs and explore potential solutions. If there’s alignment, the collaborative process begins!

Our team coaching process unfolds in three comprehensive phases:

Phase 1 – Research
An in-depth inventory is conducted, gathering diverse perspectives and assessing team vitality. Individual conversations with team members provide insights into their needs, desires, concerns, and visions for the team. Our coaches facilitate the (re)discovery of individual and collective strengths and weaknesses, laying the foundation for growth on both individual and team levels. The coach observes team dynamics in meetings, and if desired, employs the DISC behavioral analysis as a supportive tool for team coaching.

Phase 2 – Development & Goals
Building upon the outcomes and identified areas for improvement in Phase 1, specific goals or team objectives are set in Phase 2. This may include objectives such as enhancing collaboration and improving overall communication among team members.

Phase 3 – Action
This phase involves defining actionable steps necessary for team members to achieve the set goals. We identify potential obstacles and strategize on turning them into opportunities. Encouraging a shift from resistance to acceptance is a crucial mindset change during this phase.

Regular evaluations ensure that the process stays on track, and ultimately, whether the set goals have been achieved. We secure the achieved results for long-term sustainability.
